Fold and Go. Snap the transceiver into the slot underneath the mouse, fold the body in half,
and you have a portable device that travels light. The hinge is tested to the same grade as
mobile flip phones for durability. Once the mouse is collapsed, it's small and easy to transport
- it even comes with a carrying case.

2.4GHz Wireless Connection. The 2.4GHz wireless connection works from up to 30 feet away from
the transceiver - and doesn't require a sightline connection. Setup is simple: Just plug the
transceiver into a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port. 2.4 GHz provides a highly reliable connection
with virtually no interference, even in environments with multiple wireless devices. The wireless
connection also means less clutter, more freedom and a more attractive work space.

The Microsoft design team was tasked with creating a mouse as fashionable as it is functional for the
target audience of young, mobile professionals. Taking inspiration from fashion, automobiles and current
trends in the technology industry, the Arc Mouse was born. But the user research team found that the mouse
did not attract just young, mobile professionals - it had a broad appeal for all consumers.
The hinge was tested and performs to the same standards you'd expect a cell phone hinge to meet. In addition,
crush tests showed that the unfolded mouse will support up to 25 pounds of pressure - you get excellent
durability in a lightweight, foldable device.
