Comfortable, Stylish Design and the Freedom of Wireless
The Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 is portable, powerful and complete. The keyboard and the mouse are chic peripherals that look great in any setting yet don't sacrifice comfort for style. Both the keyboard and mouse provide wireless mobility via a reliable 2.4GHz transceiver that delivers virtually no interference. And with a snap-in transceiver, the mouse goes where you go - from desktop to coffee shop and beyond.
Top Features
Portable mouse with snap-in wireless transceiver
Comfort Curve keyboard with quiet touch keys
Sleek, Windows Aero-inspired design with translucent smoke border
2.4GHz wireless for reliable connection and extended range
Loaded with extra keys - for media controls, favorites and more
Comfortable Computing. The Comfort Curve keyboard - designed by a Microsoft Corp. ergonomist - delivers more comfort in an easy-to-use keyboard layout. With a slight six-degree curve, it encourages a more natural hand position and reduces wrist deviation and extension. The "soft touch" wrist pad provides additional comfort and eases hand placement. And the quiet touch keys keep keyboard noise to a minimum.
Ultra-Thin, Aero-Inspired Design. The translucent border brings the subtle elegance of Windows Aero to the keyboard. The amazingly sleek, compact design complements any office or living space and features quiet touch keys for less noise. The battery life indicator shows two colors: Green indicates fresh battery life; red indicates that the batteries are running low and need replacing.
Hot Keys, My Favorites Keys and Shortcuts for Efficient Use. A bank of My Favorites Keys delivers one-touch access to your most used Web sites, files and folders. Simply push and hold a key to assign it to the current destination, just as you would with a car stereo's preset buttons. Zoom allows you to easily zoom into and out of digital pictures, maps and more. And numerous Hot Keys, such as Windows Live Call Button, Mail and Web Home, allow you to quickly launch your favorite programs.
Enhanced F Keys make it easy to complete common tasks with one touch. Keys are conveniently grouped according to common usage patterns, such as New, Open and Close. You can also set traditional F Key functions using the F Key lock.
Improved Range, Less Interference. The 2.4GHz wireless connection works from up to 30 feet away from the transceiver - and doesn't require a sightline connection. Setup is simple: Just plug the transceiver into a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port. 2.4 GHz provides a highly reliable connection with virtually no interference, even in environments with multiple wireless devices. The wireless connection also means less clutter, more freedom, and a more attractive work space.
Optimized for Windows Vista. The Windows Start Button pulls up the Windows Start menu so you can search for documents and access programs. If you're running Windows Vista, you can search your PC or the Web directly from the Windows Vista Start menu. The Windows Gadget Button offers quick access to customizable content such as weather information, news, traffic and maps. One-touch access to Windows Flip 3D on both the keyboard and the mouse allows you to flip through open windows in a stack and quickly switch among applications for added productivity.
Full-Size Wireless Mouse With a Snap-In Transceiver. The Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 does double duty - use it at your desktop, or snap in the transceiver and take it with you - it's designed for both mobility and desktop use. And with more than one-third of consumers buying full-sized desktop mice for their notebook computers1, portability is a must.
High-Definition Laser Technology. Proprietary High Definition Laser Technology features the exclusive Microsoft Intelligent Tracking System. The result? Smoother tracking, responsiveness of 1,000 dots per inch and precision of 6,000 frames per second.
Battery Powered. Two AA batteries provide up to six months of battery life. The two-color battery life indicator on the mouse warns users when it is time to replace the batteries. Flashing red means the battery is running low on power, and green indicates the mouse has fresh batteries.
Navigation Tools. The Tilt Wheel and Magnifier tool lets you activate key computer commands and movements with a single touch. Scroll up and down and left to right with four-way scrolling.
